Awards Description

Does my product qualify?
Any new technical product or process that was first available for purchase or licensing between January 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017, is eligible for entry in the 2017 awards.

Proof-of-concept prototypes do not qualify; the submitted entry must be in working, marketable condition.

If the product requires regulatory approval, such as a drug or medical device, it must have completed all trials and received approval for marketing by a governing regulatory authority such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or international counterparts.

In some cases, existing technologies are purchased by third parties who then conduct the sales efforts. Marketing efforts do not qualify. If the original developer is included in the entry, the candidate product is considered valid by the editors.
How many entries can I submit?
An organization may enter as many new products as it wishes. Each will be judged on its own merits. However, the volume of entries won’t necessarily guarantee the company will win. Target entries carefully. Use a “rifle” approach, not a “shotgun” approach.

Step 1: Prepare the entry form.
Entrants must complete the official application form and provide documented evidence of the science, materials, and mechanics supporting the technology they choose to enter. The entry form guides participants through the application process.

Each R&D 100 Entry will need to complete the following fields on the official online R&D 100 Entry form.  The information you will need to supply appears below. Some fields are optional, but it is recommended that you include as much information as possible to boost your chances of winning an R&D 100 Award.
