For the past 97 years, The ADC Annual Awards has continuously honored the very best in meticulous craftsmanship in the worlds of design, advertising and other commercial creative arts. With nearly a century of rich history in everything from illustration and photography to animation and digital arts, the ADC Annual Awards is a reliable industry barometer for where craft will lead us in the years to come.

Call for Entries Opens for ADC 97th Annual Awards, New Tiered Pricing and Category Changes Announced

The ADC 97th Annual Awards, this year with the theme “Where Craft Will Take Us”, continues the organization’s historic focus of honoring global work that exemplifies the very best in craft, design and innovation. This year’s jury, to be announced soon, includes top advertising creatives and designers from around the world. Deadline for entry is January 31, 2018.

New tiered pricing structure
Big news for this year’s competition is a tiered pricing structure designed to make it easier for smaller agencies, studios and freelancers to participate. Companies with 21 or more employees pay the standard entry fee; smaller shops with from 2 to 20 employees get a discount on entries (amount varies by discipline) and freelance creatives and one-person shops are eligible for an even greater reduction in their entry fee.  Read More…

Please note that each entry completed in the system after 11:59PM EST on January 31 will have a $50.00 late fee automatically applied.

All entries must have been printed, published, aired or broadcast live online for the first time between February 6, 2017 and February 5, 2018 in any country. Entries may be submitted by any company or individual involved in the creation or production of the work.

Small Company
Refers to companies that have between 2 and 20 employees (full-time, part-time and regular freelancers). The company is responsible for the bulk of a project’s creative duties.

Refers to self-employed individuals who are responsible for the bulk of a project’s creative duties.

Students currently enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education programs in advertising, graphic design, photography, illustration, and digital media are eligible to enter the competition, and are invited to submit published or unpublished work in any category.

Student work will be judged separately but by the same criteria as professional work. Gold and Silver winners will be included in related advertising and promotional materials.

Special Awards


Beyond the coveted Gold, Silver and Bronze Cubes, the ADC 97th Annual Awards also presents special honors for entrants that stand above even those prestigious accolades.


Best in Discipline

NEW  — After each jury selects its Gold, Silver and Bronze Cube winners, they will then choose which Gold Cube winner stands above all others within their discipline. This entry will be named Best in Discipline.


ADC Black Cube (Best in Show)

Once selected, all Best in Discipline winners will be grouped together and judged one final time, this time by a combination of all juries. The entrant with the most votes will receive the coveted ADC Black Cube for Best in Show.


Design for Good/Designism

NEW  — Design For Good awards work that not only meets peerless creative standards, but also encourages positive societal and political change. The top scoring Gold Cube winning entrants across all Design for Good categories — as selected by their respective juries — will be brought together to be judged across all juries as a whole. The best entry will be awarded the ADC Designism Cube.

    For the total amount of fees, checks must be made payable to:   The One Club for Creativity, Inc.


    The online entry system will automatically generate a printable payment form. Fill this out with your card information.

    International entrants may arrange for payment via wire transfer. Account details will be given during the payment process.Please Note: A $35.00 USD fee will be applied.
