Construction News Awards

Awards Description

The Construction News Awards are back, celebrating 22 years of rewarding the very best companies and individuals in construction.

Each year, hundreds of companies with combined revenues of £100bn+ from all over the UK enter the CN Awards to have their work recognised as the best across the infrastructure, property and residential sectors.

Companies who enter the awards win work thanks to the recognition they provide and the face-to-face presentations they give to our judges.

Our judges are construction experts, including the UK’s largest clients, from Heathrow Airport and Crossrail to Grosvenor and Land Securities, as well as legal, local authority, health & safety and government experts.

A Construction News Award is recognised as the industry’s badge of excellence among clients and the supply chain. Each year we are proud to recognise the companies that are leading the way in the construction industry – make sure your work gets recognition in 2018.

How are the CN Awards judged?

cn_awd155_judging_infographic_web_image_2_1.png

The judging process has maximum integrity at its core.

Judges are selected on the basis of being clients to businesses that enter, and who therefore understand what excellence looks like, or because they are technical experts in one or more fields.

The judges are arranged in panels of three or four, with each unaware of who will be on their panel, until the day of face-to-face presentations by finalists.

Firstly, each judge individually judges each entry online and award a score, with the panel’s average score determining the top organisations that will become finalists.

The decision on who wins each category rests solely with the judges, once they have seen each of the finalist’s presentations. The only exception is the Supreme Award, which is judged by the editorial team, based on those truly exceptional category winners that are put forward for consideration by the judges.
