To win the Outdoor Media Awards, we need more than just a big idea.
We need to see a campaign that was the product of a strategic approach – one that combined great insight and innovation to undertake an intelligent execution. We need to see a campaign that changed perceptions, pushed boundaries and delivered results above and beyond client expectations.
We are offering £100,000 in advertising space for the Grand Prix winner.
Entries will open on Monday 29 January and close on Friday 30 March.
Entries are free of charge and are open to any organisation, in any sector, of any size (excluding “The SME Award”), which ran an outdoor campaign in the UK in 2017.
The Multiple Format Award
This award is open to campaigns which have strategically used at least two different Outdoor formats in different environments. For example, small format and large format, traditional and digital, mall advertising and bus shelter advertising, etc.
The Brand Fame Award
This award celebrates campaigns that have successfully built Brand Fame through effective Out of Home execution. Entries to this award must demonstrate growth in brand awareness as part of achieving campaign objectives.
We would expect to see a commitment to the medium for a prolonged period of time, as part of the strategy for achieving Brand Fame. Campaigns for this award may have begun in 2016 but the majority of the campaign will have run in 2017.
The Data Award
This award is open to campaigns which have pro-actively used data and insight to guide their Out of Home planning and campaign execution.
The Innovation Award
This award celebrates Out of Home campaigns which have inspired audiences by pushing the boundaries of what is possible in Out of Home with their original and unique execution. This can
include but is not limited to, innovative uses of technology, special builds and interactivity.
The Creativity Award
This award celebrates true creativity in Out of Home campaigns. The winner will have used Out of Home formats and environments to the best of their ability to deliver a truly brilliant creative idea to the right audience at the right time.
This award looks closely at the creative idea that drove the campaign execution, but will also take into consideration placement, formats, data, insight, technology and results.
The SME Award
This award is open to campaigns from Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises who have used Outdoor media most effectively. These enterprises must have a turnover of less than £25m per annum and fewer than 250 employees.
The Rising Star Award *NEW*
This award recognises those that have shown incredible enthusiasm and involvement in Out of Home advertising, whilst inspiring others around them to use Outdoor media to its full potential. They will have made a positive impact for their clients (internal or external), and for both the industry and their organisation.
This individual will be a media owner, media agency or specialist employee that has joined the world of Out of Home within the last 5 years and who has gone above and beyond what was expected of them. Individuals are allowed to nominate themselves and can work in any department.
