The Digiday Media Awards Europe is a new program that recognizes the companies working to modernize European media. While our other awards programs recognize companies on a global scale, the Digiday Media Awards Europe showcase work specific to the European market.

    Best execution of a live event as an extension of the publisher’s editorial brand, determined by number of tickets sold, social reach, outside press coverage and overall experience factor.

    To distribute content, enhance user experience and propel overall growth.

  • Best Experiential Marketing Campaign

    Best experiential marketing campaign as an extension of the publisher’s editorial brand, combining experiential, strategy, and creative services with a strong online dialogue.

    Most effective use of audience data to grow the publisher’s audience, in terms of both size and engagement, or grow a key performance indicator.

  • Best Email Newsletter

    Most effective use of an email newsletter to forge a direct connection with readers.

  • Best Overall Design

    Most effective design in order to deliver content and advertising across devices.

  • Best E-Commerce Strategy

    Best use of e-commerce to drive additional revenue to the publisher that’s seamless with the editorial content.

  • Best Branded Content Program – B2B

    Across platforms in order to engage a B2B audience and promote a brand, product or service.

  • Best Branded Content Program – B2C

    Across platforms in order to engage a B2C audience and promote a brand, product or service.

    Best branded content video designed with the purpose of promotion, to build a brand’s image and/or establish a connection between a product or service and consumers.

  • Best Brand Video – Series

    Best branded video web series designed with the purpose to provide content, build a brand’s image, connection, entertainment, or to drive direct response for a product or service among consumers.

  • Best Multi-Platform Video Campaign

    Best advertising campaign integrated through two or more video channels such as online, social, mobile, email, out-of-home, TV or other video platforms with a purpose of advertising, promotion, entertainment, engagement, or driving sales among its consumers. *Must include two or more of the mentioned video channels.

  • Best Live Moment

    Best live video broadcast on one of the following mediums: Facebook Live, Periscope, Youtube, etc. The entry must support why the Live moment was significant and back it up with viewership statistics.

  • Best Brand Video Destination or Channel

    Best branded video content destination with a purpose to entertain or inform customers. The destination or channel may include the brand’s website, YouTube channel, Vine or Snapchat account, or other video channels.

  • Best Video Ad

    An in-stream or in-banner video ad for branding or direct response with a purpose of branding, advertising, promotion, education, entertainment, engagement or driving sales among its consumers.

  • Best Social Video Campaign

    Best branded social video campaign created to build a relationship with a brand, product or service. Must have been integrated across Facebook, Instagram, Vine, Snapchat, or other social platforms.

  • Best Video Publisher Partner for Brands

    The best publisher for brands to partner with to develop and produce native advertising campaigns and/or support video ads. This includes integration across multiple platforms to promote a brand, product or service to consumers or an audience.

    JUDGING CRITERIA

    The judges will be looking for companies or campaigns that can clearly demonstrate transparent success over the past 12 months. Our judges are seeking companies or campaigns that have seized challenges and created opportunities.

    Judges will require evidence to substantiate all entries and this could include details of financial performance, results in terms of KPI, creative evidence in terms of a sizzle reel, still images, or links to the final project. The judges will also consider the structure, presentation and clarity of each entry.

    Entries should relate to business conducted from November 2016 – February 2018.

    THE JUDGING PROCESS

    Judges will read and pre-score all entry forms, considering any supporting materials submitted. Judges will be asked to give a score for each question within the entry form relating to Digiday’s four criteria: innovation, creativity, consumer value, and results. These will be combined to give an overall score for each entry. All judges pre-scores will then be combined and the highest scoring entries will determine the shortlists.

    CONFIDENTIALITY

    All material will remain confidential to the judges, who are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Winning case studies may be used in post-event materials to promote best practice and permission will be sought from entrants before publishing these.
